A CVT is like a super hero: they have to be a phlebotomist, pet psychologist, behavior expert, pharmacist, radiologist, anesthesiologist... depending on the day the list could go on and on. Below are some general job descriptions of a CVT here at 43rd Avenue Animal Hospital.
- The ability to perform and prepare/ assist in diagnostic procedures
- Run surgery and anesthesia
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records
- Communicate well with clients and team
- Triage emergency patients
- Understand the values of being an AAHA accredited hospital
- Understand vaccine basics and blood values
- Clerical Duties
- Answering phones
- Monitor patients
- Draw blood and administer vaccines
- Take radiographs

Requirements
A CVT License in Arizona, that is current and in good standing is required
